Services Provided
We offer a number of services to provide you with the best care possible.
  • Orthopedic Physical Therapy: Orthopedic physical therapy encompasses a wide range of injuries and problems involving the joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and peripheral nerves. In physical therapy we work to resolve pain, increase joint motion, promote a normal walking pattern, gain strength, improve function, and prevent recurrence.
  • Osteoporosis Care / Exercise Program: Osteoporosis care focuses on the assessment of posture and strength. In physical therapy, clients are instructed in safe weight-bearing activities/exercises.
  • Spinal Rehabilitation: Spinal rehabilitation refers to problems with your neck or back. Because of the unique structure of the spine and special problems related to this area, specialized training is necessary to ensure appropriate intervention.
  • Sports/Athletic Physical Therapy: Athletic injuries are essentially orthopedic injuries which have a sport specific component. Our goal for the athlete is to return them to the sport quickly, while preventing re-injuries through proper warm-up and training procedures. Our program is uncommonly effective, helping return patients to previous levels of sports activity through exercises for the trunk, upper, and lower extremities and back. Because the majority of problems are mechanical, relating to specific activities, postures, and habits of the client's lifestyle, a mechanical solution is necessary. A thorough evaluation will be performed to identify movements, positions, and activities that aggravate the condition as well as those that will decrease symptoms.
  • Vestibular Rehabilitation: Vestibular rehabilitation is an alternative form of treatment for inner ear disorders that involves symptom-specific, individualized exercises designed to: Decrease dizziness/vertigo and Improve balance function.
  • Pilates: Pilates is a method of mind-body exercises and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. Core stabilization, balance, joint stability, proper breathing, improved posture and increased body awareness are all achieved through this method. Pilates has proven itself invaluable ot only as a fitness endeavor, but also as an important adjunct to professional sports training and physical rehabilitation of all types.
  • Pre-Natal and Postpartum Therapy: During your nine months of pregnancy and postpartum recovery, a physical therapist can assist you with both knowledge and physical care. Dramatic changes occur in your musculoskeletal system during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum recovery. Below are several conditions in which a physical therapist may offer help: Pregnancy: Pelvic pain, Back pain, Urine leakage with cough or sneeze, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Sensory changes and pain in legs, Sacroiliac joint dysfunction; Postpartum: Postural changes, Weak abdominal-muscle separation, Improve pelvic floor condition and control, Incision discomfort and adherent scarring, Difficulty in taking care of children and performing work and home tasks.
